The Wanderer's Book of Colors at Art and Soul, Portland

  • The Portland Airport Sheraton Hotel 8235 Northeast Airport Way Portland, OR, 97220 United States (map)

Would you love to make your own books full of colors, textures, and patterns?

Join me for this two-day workshop at Art and Soul, Portland to create a Wanderer’s Book of Colors reminiscent of medieval times.

We will make the covers out of antique door hinges, which I will provid for you, and I’ll also give you vintage colored silks to cover your pages.

On the first day, we will explore two different ways to cover the pages and edges, first with pan pastels and paints, and then with the vintage silk. We will also make self drying beads to use on our book spines.

On the second day, we will explore stitching, attaching, and collaging simple details onto your pages. I will show you how to put your book together with a unique and easy process.

You will go home with your own handmade book that tells the story of a beautiful gathering of artistic souls along with the colors, textures and patterns that you love.
